change is love

there something about long drives when the leaves are changing colours. its left me with a sense of contentment. i like october.

i've been drinking my coffee black. its been much needed on road trips these past few weekends. my sister and i are headed back up to washington one last time on monday. our last wedding of the year. we are skipping classes and taking a day for two of our best friends. i am reminded constantly that this season brought something more than a scenery change. joy, love, and friends.

here's to fall.

in the air

weeks have grown shorter with much to do. it's been pleasant planning a wedding, nannying days away, and enjoying the last short weeks summer has to offer.
i suppose it's only natural that as we prepare for the end of warm days and freedom from our busy fall schedules, a bit of uneasiness will stir inside.
i keep telling myself i will be ready to move on and greet fall with open arms. one can hope.

this weekend is brimming with love. a wedding, a shower, family, & seeing old friends.

i really like this cake in canning jars. (i'm not the one getting married, but i'm planning on snatching the witty idea up for myself.)
oh, and this is my bridesmaid dress.

i talked to this little girl on the phone today.(see above photo)
she might be the c u t e s t thing that you ever did see. and i've only seen her once, so that must mean something.

i had a concert to go to with my sisters tonight. i took my camera with me. but i think i got sidetracked by counting all the people wearing TOMs instead. 23. and my camera has a serious lack of pictures on it now. zut!
but i made penny wishes in the fountain afterwards, so that made up for the missing photos.

saturday i go to a wedding. and the fact of the matter is, i love weddings. so i'm looking forward to it.

and i gardened with my mother today.♥

all in all, today wasn't half bad. even though i did forget it was thursday.
